Learn about D&C Engineers’ approach to installing a new batching plant
When your new plant is ready to be installed, D&C Engineers is ready with the required documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, safe working practice outlines and crane plans. Our mechanical and electrical engineers are also ready, each holding the right qualifications and checks.
We set up a dedicated welfare and office facility adjacent to each batcher. This includes toilets, drying facilities, kitchenette and office.
Once you have approved the initial site programme, we assign a dedicated project manager to liaise with you on progress. A six-week ‘look ahead’ programme, submitted to you weekly, will highlight any potential hold-ups such as adverse weather.
While our engineers and electricians carry out the installation, D&C’s project manager will make weekly site visits to them and hold weekly client meetings with you.
Towards the end of the installation phase, we will carry out inspections with you and other relevant parties, detailing any snagging items. We will rectify the snagging list before agreeing closeout, and hand over the plant along with all documentation and certifications. Contact us to learn more.

Rely on D&C Engineers to carry out every stage of your plant installation
It almost goes without saying that, at every stage of installation, strict compliance with health & safety legislation comes as standard. Where needed we will carry out health screening and appraise competencies for site personnel, sending the results to you for approval. All members of our own site teams are certified by Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS). They hold relevant industry safety passports and undergo continual training.
We will submit to you an environmental management plan, detailing any aspects of our activities that could have an impact on the site, and how these will be controlled. The plan will also outline how waste produced during the installation will be managed and disposed of.
We are qualified for all types of crane schemes, supplying calculations for lifts, backed by crane lift plans, site drawings, method statements and risk assessments. We also provide crane lift supervisors and appointed persons, so you know you have qualified and experienced people on hand whenever needed.
We offer full electrical installations and the replacement of controls, including PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and computer control systems. Our electricians are certified by City & Guilds to the 17th edition and, as a company, D&C is NCIEC-registered.
Upon completing your electrical installation, we will supply you with electrical test certificates, and CAD circuit drawings should you need them. Contact us today.
