D&C Engineers is a specialist engineering firm established in 1973. We design, manufacture and install new concrete, quarry and asphalt plants and equipment across the UK. We can help you make financial and environmental savings by refurbishing and upgrading existing plants. We also undertake plant maintenance and servicing and cover breakdown callouts.
Based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, we have a national reach and an international reputation. D&C has delivered contracts for some of the biggest clients in the construction industry, including Tarmac, Hanson UK and Bylor (the collaboration between Bouygues and Laing O’Rourke at Hinkley Point C in Somerset).
For the Hinkley Point C project we worked collaboratively with other specialists to engineer, test and refine ‘nuclear grade’ concrete – now considered the finest-quality concrete the industry has seen. Following the successful installation of three batching plants at Hinkley Point C, we have been commissioned to manufacture a fourth.
Another of our recent new plant builds was a 160m³ per hour batching plant for Quattro Hayes, following on from our successful installation for Hopkins Concrete in Bridgwater, Somerset (which also resulted in a further identical plant for Brett’s Concrete in Peruvian Wharf in London).
We have undertaken extensive work on several sections of Transport for London’s latest section of the London Underground, the Elizabeth Line.
Our in-house project design team, electrical and mechanical engineers, and meticulous installation practices mean we can offer you a turnkey solution. While we relish the role of principal contractor, we are equally happy with collaborative working, sharing our knowledge to achieve the best possible outcome for each project.
